Here are a few frequently asked questions to help you navigate the EMA Accessibility and Inclusion Animation Competition:

  1. What is the theme of the competition?
    The theme of the competition is Accessibility and Inclusion.
  2. Who can participate?
    The competition is open to animators of all experience levels, from seasoned professionals to enthusiastic beginners.
  3. What format should my animation be in?
    Entries should be in any form the conveys the the technicalities of the feature, explains its function or conveys the features importance in the context of the real life experiences of PwD.
  4. How long should my animation be?
    The length of the animation should not exceed 5 minutes.  The intention is for them to be as short as possible while conveying the message they need to communicate.
  5. Where can I submit my entry?
    Submissions will be accepted through the form Here.
  6. Is there a deadline for submissions?
    Yes, there will be a deadline for submission is Sunday, 21st April 2024, Midnight IST.  
  7. What are the judging criteria?
    A panel of judges from the animation and accessibility communities will evaluate entries based on originality, storytelling impact, and a clear connection to the competition theme.
  8. Will there be finalists announced?
    Yes, finalists will be announced after the judging process is complete.
  9. What are the prizes for the winning animation?
    The winning animation will receive recognition and prizes as mentioned on the link here.
  10. Can I collaborate with other animators on my entry?
    Collaboration is encouraged! 
  11. Where can I find inspiration for my animation?
    The world around you is full of stories waiting to be told! Consider real-life experiences, social issues, or even personal anecdotes that embody accessibility and inclusion.
  12. I am a student animator. Can I still participate?
    Absolutely! The competition welcomes entries from all levels of experience.
  13. What kind of animation style is preferred?
    All animation styles are welcome!  The focus is on creativity and effectively conveying your message.
