What Will You Learn?

  • After completing this course you will understand the main points about accessibility in the built environment. All the material you need for the course is here in our EMA website. The course is divided into separate subjects like Sensitisation, alighting points, parking ramps, stairs, toilets, handrails, surfaces and tactile tiling.

Course Content

A&I-ADV-RMP – Accessible Ramp Q&A – (Advanced level)
The intention of this course is to provide material sufficient for a comprehensive understanding of the Nationa Building Code 2016 standards which underly the building bye-laws, such as GDCR and guidelines such as HGSS etc. The students will need to carefully go through the material and memorise the critical dimensions, angles and features. Students should not attempt the test before thoroughly studying this material.

A&I-ADV-SEN – Sensitisation on the Subject of Accessibility & Inclusion (Advanced Level)
Where from and when did these concepts of Accessibility and Inclusion come from?  What are the current laws and guidances that cover these topics?  What are the sub-topics within A&I?  What is the level of progress in implementing these laws and guidances in India? These are the main points we will cover in this module.  The purpose of understanding these matters is to give you an overall perspective of the subject.
